The 10 Inalienable Rights of the Reader

Have to agree with all of them. I especially love numbers 4, 5, 6 and 7.  #4 because if I love a story so much I read it not only twice, not thrice, I read it until I feel like I’ve memorized each line of the book. Alright, that’s an exaggeration but I think you got my point. =)  #5 because it’s the 21st century and we’re free to make our own choices, reading choices very much included. #6 because sometimes I just can’t help it. And, lastly, #7 because, again, just because. (Not unless you’re on hospital duty and you need to put your full attention on the person whose life you’re saving, then put that book down.)

Though, I would like to add this: The right not to be disturbed while reading (not unless it’s by an attractive person who wants to talk to you about whatever it is that you’re reading, then that’s an excuse. A good one.)
